Fishing was super slow the walleyes that we found were all up in the trees went through tons of tackle but if you wanted the bite then you had to work we fished all over that lake and never did find the fish out on the open flats all were up in the trees good luck and bring lots off tacke you going to need it lol tight lines all

Lake is wide open docks are in (?!) A dozen or more boats out 34 degrees surface temp, boat never left the trailer, just needed to make sure water pump is working and then a picnic lunch with the folks.

I flew over Angostura a week and a half ago, the main basin from common cents to summer sun over to the two main lake points was open along with another area out near the flats. Horsehead was ice covered. I'd bet my minnow bucket the entire lake is now ice free and the fish have lock jaw

We fished Tuesday and Wednesday this week and didn't hook a single walleye. We caught a couple dozen small fish from bluegill, perch, and catfish to a couple of one pound small mouth. No keepers. Some caught a few eyes in the flooded weeds and trees but also lost tackle.

Went down to angy today and had some really good fishing again. We hooked into a 26 24 23 22 three 19s and three 17s also had some crappie smallmouth one largemouth and some cats. This lake has the healthiest fish i have ever seen |

Got a three man limit today with a average of 18 in no overs though hit three nice 12 in crappies also. I think we released 10 walleyes between 13 1/2 to just under 15 so the lake is looking good for the future years to come!

Was wondering if the bite is on at Angy. Would like to go, hopefully Wednesday.

Fished Angy Friday Saturay and Sunday it rained us out!Friday had a great wind and we caught 25 walleys and kept a 3 man limit of 17 to 21 inchers and saturday was calm and warm and alot of boats and jet skis and we only caught 5 keepers 16 to 19 inchers everything was in about 12.5 fow!!!

They are there and biting, but I don't have a whole lotta difinitive info for you. I know of eyes being caught from 21' to 6' FOW, mostly on worms or cranks. Some are saying the flats at 11', some cranks thrown at rocks around 6 to 10 feet, some pulling cranks in 6' catching large northerns and walleye and more being caught from 17 to 21 with worms... pick where you wanna go, where you think the fish are and work it a little bit....
