i fished seven inches of ice today and would think the whole lake has atleast 4in on it.

there is actually over a foot of ice at fruitdale point. maybe a little water on top of the ice but there is ice over the whole lake again. even out in the middle we found 4-5 inches of good clear ice. the fishing however is not so good. have tried shallow tried deep and the fish are just hiding i guess.

Went out to check the ice yesterday. Got out to Fruitdale point and didn't even need to get out of the vehicle. There was a lot of open water around there. I did see one shack off of Rocky Point, I cant imagine that there is more than a few inches anywhere on the lake.

It's going to have to get really cold for any ice fishing. May be able to fish Fruitdale point, not sure bout that even.

Just got back from checking orman, the ice is trashed. There is still some ice south of the south island, but it was covered with water from the 40 mph wind. it'll be a while before any ice fishing gets done there

Just got back from Orman. Most of the lake is open water now. The only area that has ice is south of the south island, and I'm not sure how thick it is. The wind has destroyed the ice conditions.

Can anyone give me a idea on where to find safe ice on orman. I know it is going tobe cold the next couple days and would like to get out one more time. |

went out today, about half the lake is open watet but we found a little ice that was good enough to walk on. caught our 2 over eyes and a big 13 inch crappie. caught a 15 inch crappie a week ago too. good to see some big slabs coming out of there. fishing 5-7 FOW
