Has anyone read the mountain lion article in the black hills pioneer today? What a joke, game and fish continue to lie to everyone and assume we are all stupid. The proof is in the decline in elk, deer, and turkey populations. Around here the ranchers see more mountain lions than they do elk. Maybe game and fish should save the money they pay the biologists and go out and ask the hunters, ranchers, and homeowners in the area and find out the facts instead of wasting taxpayers money and just guessing. As a hunter I am so fed up with this as well as many others. When you can fill the mountain lion quota as fast as we do and without using dogs that should tell you have a problem. Until the hunters stand up and do something about this the lies will never end.

Oh and by the way what about the timber wolf that i saw, my mother in law saw and a local trapper saw Oh and the paw prints by our dam the size of a saint benard with claws out GF&Parks said it could have been a lion well they dont walk around with there claws out for 100 feet not that i am a biologist but hey what the hell well i have 3 pastures in heavely wooded areas so cant wait to see what happens sorry if any thing is miss spelled just a rancher and outdoors man

All I want to say on the subject is....  I use trail cameras and have been for six or seven years the first 3 years never had any cats 100's of elk and deer.  The last three or four i have a cat pic on atleast one of my cameras everytime i go and check them.  Last year i have a elk come into a water hole to drink and six minutes later a cat is walking past.  And i have all the proof still.   They need to treat them like coyotes until they are down to a manageable number!

Went out looking for elk last night.  Found a heard and was extremly pleased to see the number of calves in the heard.  Looked very promising and hope they all make it.
