Fished Sat & Sun on Thompson. Wind was a tough battle as well as the cold. Ran bb/spinners caught 1 21" and a 15" fish on Sat. Same for Sunday 1 20" and a couple under 16. Saw a few other fish being caught on plugs We were in the tourney on Sun. Winner had just over 10 pounds and big fish was a little over 3. Tough fishing, but was fun and a good turn out.

Pulled plugs around Thompson for 4 hours yesterday. 1 pike and 3 14-15 inch walleyes, but one dandy 26" walleye that cruched a thunderstick in 12 FOW. Deepest water in the basin I found was 16.2'. A far cry from the 22' we used to fish just a few years ago. I really don't believe there is any way that Thompson will reach that depth again outside of another 96-97 winter.

Lake Thompson was putting out a good number of fish on Friday and Saturday. Of course still many little fish if using spinners/crawler/leeches, but some fish between 15-17" catching them down south 8-10 fow. Some guys pulling plugs are doing well and catching a few nicer fish on the main lake.

I was on Thompson last week for two days. The bite is good if you call catching 13 1/2 inch walleyes good. In two days of fishing we caught 1 17", 1 16" and 1 15" fish all the others were 14" and smaller. Not what I would call a good bite. Talked to more than a dozen other boats all with the same report.

Still supposed to be a pretty good bite on thompson for walleyes using bouncers and spinners with leeches or half crawler. I heard the silo area was producing over the weekend.

Walleyes and crappies are still going good on thompson. BB and spinners with leeches or half crawler is working along with some nicer fish being caught on plugs in 7-10 fow. The crappie bite seems to be better during the evening.

From what I've heard the bite continues to be pretty steady, most of the fish are in the 16-18 inch range and are being caught on spinners and crawlers or leeches. The plug pullers have also been doing good and have been getting some of the bigger fish in the silo area.
