Im going up to shadehill this weekend. I have heard the crappie and perch are biting can anyone tell me where to start fishing for these. Is there a place by there to pick up some minnows?

Fished Friday (hot!), Saturday, and Sunday. Just a bit each day, not all day long. Friday was the best day surprisingly, caught several nice eyes over 20". Sat. and Sun. saw a large variety of fish, crappie, perch, bass, and lots of northerns. Most of the eyes Sat. and Sun. were between 13" and 15", nothing bigger. Cranks and livebait were pretty much 50/50 for fish caught. Nice outing, had been a long time since I had been there. Lake is full and the campground/facilities are top, top notch!

Fished 11th-15th. Only keeper walleye was caught casting a Rapala in little bayou next to boat launch. White bass hit hard 7-9pm in same area. Lots of Northerns back there too. Caught little walleyes below spillway and trolling all over lake. Also caught crappie and big perch while trolling. Didn't fill the freezer but enough action with only two rods out to keep you interested.

ok maybe third times gonna work. fished 5 days 1st-5th caught tons of fish eyes,northern,crappie,smallies,drum that was the good part of the trip bad part is most of the eyes where tooooooo shoooort to keep 14-143/4 very very very few we kept. the ones we caught that we could keep ranged around 19-191/4 went through 15 dozen worms between 2 of us like i said we caught lots, but keepers were few walleye anyway

i ice fished shadehill in january caught alot of fish crappie wallys cats whitebass(yes through the ice) also seen shad dead on the bottom

I don't think anyone likes to share any of there knowledge on this lake...so I figured I would tell the little I know about it
The experiences I have had on this lake in the past is don't waste your time ice fishing, granted I am not saying you can't catch fish but the times I have went it's pure catfish!! Why... I don't have the answer maybe I was fishing the wrong spots Although fishing the month of June can be great Once the end of July rolls around I have struggled a bit Not fishing the deep structure enough I'm guessing. Hopefully this will get some people talking about there experiences or maybe even an argument |

fished shadehill may 4-7 did well with jigs/minnows and lindy rigs with 5' leader/red hook and glow beed in 8-15 fow

Has anyone heard anything on shadehill? I talked to a guy that said there were a couple of whopper class walleyes that were caught in the last week on the res.
