was out from about 730 to noon. wasn't the best day but caught about 20 keepers from 800 till 1100. after that seemed like they got lock jaw. ice was still a good 15 inches thick. a lot of people were dragging their sleds out, but we drove right on no problems. caught fish anywhere from 7 to 30 feet. they were very finickey. good luck, get out while the ice lasts. happy fishing.

Ice is good to drive on. Four perch.slow day .Saw one trout about 20" caught. Fish off bottom 6" to 12"

Anyone have ice conditions? I know there was 20" of ice a couple weekends ago, but with this heat I wanted to make sure it's still safe to drive out on.

Caught 1 rainbow 17" on nightcrawler. Had two tip-ups go off but couldn't set the hook. Both got away. was using shiners on tip-ups.

Fish sheridan today tore them up for once got my frist perch limit all nice ones most come on minnows the smaller the jig the better it was was fishing 48 ft of water was a good time they started to hit about 2pm and they hit good till 4pm good luck tight lines

Ice was good. 18-20 inches. Had a fun day. Perch were biting on red maggots and minnows, at about 25-35 ft.

Fished the south side today. Went straight out around the point. We had ten perch on the ice before nine but then got slow. Went out to 60FOW and fish were all over. Ended up bringing home twenty good size perch. Hali and maggots. Tomorrow should be better with the overcast.

Fished Northeast of the swim beach across from Hwy 385. Fished 25 FOW and caught a total of 10 perch. Using a hali tipped with red maggots and small minnows. Alot of vehicles and atv's on the ice today.

Sheridan was pretty slow over the weekend. Does anyone know if the perch moved out deeper. Caught about twenty fish under six inches and thats all. Fished anywhere from 18fow to 30fow off the south side boat ramp in the bay. Just could not locate the big ones. Nice to see good thick ice

headed down to sheridan the last couple of days and had COLD but awesome days of fishing. between two of us in the two days we ended up with about 46 nice keeper perch. had to throw back a lot of little ones too though...we also had some tip ups closer to shore and ended up with 9 pike....one nice one came in around 11 lbs. can't wait for the warm temps this weekend when it warms up..they'll really be going by then!

Great weather for ice fishing! Went out Friday with my son and had a great time fishing. Not many large perch but had fun catching what would bite. Most of the fish were in 20 - 25 feet and the best bait was Red Magots. Had to use a minon head for some. Came home with 25 small keepers.
Went on this morning and the fish were really fussy, maybe one or two per hole. Had to change bait in some holes to get the fussy ones to bite. Slow and not much size to these perch. Nice day, sunny and warm, great for fishing with the family. |
