Went out for a couple of hours in my one man pontoon in the morning.  Mostly sunny day with a slight breeze.  Fished the bay area near the kayak dock with buckshot spoons and gold lil' jakes lures.  Caught 5 rainbows ranging from 10-14 inches.  Missed a few others.  Lots of activity on the lake from tourists.  Witnessed a few people fishing from shore catching a few here and there, but not sure what bait or lure they were using.   Decent bite.

Went out to Sylvan with a friend of mine who hadn't been out all year.  While the fishing was a bit better than last time (see report from 2/26), it still wasn't quite as good as early January.  Caught half a dozen over 2.5 hours and marked some more.  Decent size to them.  Jigs seem to work best.  No luck with spoons, halis, or pilkies.  Fished in 11-13 FOW.  Ice still at least 18" thick and solid.

Hit up Sylvan for the 2nd time this year.  Fishing was not nearly as good as it had been the first trip.  Only caught a couple in two hours, lost a couple more, and graphed some here and there.  Most fish I graphed were in 12'-14' of water.  Ice is still plenty good and thick, at least 18 inches or more in places.

Checked out Sylvan for first time ice fishing.  Ice is at least 12" thick or better.  Caught over 20 trout in 3 hours.  Fished from 5'-13' and had luck at every depth.

Took my 10 yr old nephew and man did we have a blast. 26 degrees but NO wind. Took home a couple of nice Browns. Caught and released at least 20 Rainbows and Browns. Going to try some of the other Park's Trout lakes. Going after some Brookies next. What a setting for a dayon the ice. One of SD'd best kept secrets. We were the only ones on the ice that day.
