I trap bobcats and raccoons for last 3 years in meade county with good results with a small scale operation. Would like to trap more, but good land and time are hard to come by for me.I know of several other trappers in the area, but most do not like to tell how well they are doing in my opinion.

I just started this last year without much luck and I was curious what you use for lure and bait and what you look for in location?
Thanks!

I use just about anything for raccoon bait, they seem to like hotdogs and sardines the best though, lol. For bobcats i use a cat scent and an attractant, such as a feather or something shiny to get there attention. I use large live traps and cover with branches and grass to make a hole to go. I keep the scraps from my deer and freeze them and use it for bobcat bait. But catch coons on it also.

Yep, all my sets are on a creek bottom and some brushy draws that run into the creek drainage.
